Oklahoma City has the distinction of being named "One of the Best Places to Travel in 2020" by Travel + Leisure Magazine. It's no wonder as this city, known as the "Horse Show Capital of the World", has all the attractions, culture, cuisine and events that will thrill any visitor. Upcoming events such as a city-wide scavenger hunt and a live musical tribute provides you with a wonderful opportunity to discover the best of this great metropolis.

Live Tribute to Queen

Oklahoma City will be hosting an amazing tribute to the legendary rock group Queen. The Killer Queen formed in 1993 and started on their journey the same way Queen did 21 years earlier. This tribute band has been selling out shows all across Europe. Killer Queen was even asked by Sir Bob Geldof to stand-in for the original Queen in a restaging of the Live-Aid concert to raise funds for the homeless. In 2016, they decided to cross the pond and take their show to American audiences. If you're feeling nostalgic for the supergroup's iconic music, here's your opportunity to see Killer Queen performing at the historic Tower Theater on March 25 - doors open at 7:00 pm. You'll do a double-take when you see Patrick Myers as he inhabits the voice, spirit, and energy of Freddie Mercury - Myers also bears an uncanny resemblance to the legendary frontman. Tickets are currently on sale for $35-$45 and prices are likely to increase closer to the show date.

Explore the City’s History and Go on a Hunt

The Oklahoma City Scavenger Hunt: Wild Western Art is a fun and educational tour that offers participants a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the city's attractions, historic landmarks, and arts and culture scene. Learn the history behind sculptures, statues, buildings, canals and much more. You'll be guided through this hunt around Oklahoma City by an app that leads you through a 2.6-mile stroll. With every site or location you stop at, a clue will be provided for you to solve a riddle, answer trivia questions or complete a photo challenge. This is a great team-building exercise as groups engage in a friendly competition for prizes. Highlights of the tour include the National Memorial, Bricktown, and Myriad Botanical Gardens. The games begin at 201 North Walker Avenue. If you require additional information or event updates, check out the Let’s Roam webpage. Tickets are $39.00.
